Job Description

THE POSITIONPLC Programming, troubleshooting, upgrades, and project management of plant systems and equipment.Composition, training, implementation, and maintenance of documentation and machine control media for plant systems and equipment based on upgrades, installations, and task procedures.Key Duties:Plan and actively pursue equipment and building projects, including overhauls, upgrades, re-designs, and installations. Track new and rebuilt equipment according to Reliability and Maintainability guidelines from conception to decommissioning.Coordinate with the Plant Engineering department to schedule labor, materials, downtime requirements, and estimate downtime lengths for individual projects.Collaborate with Plant Engineering Staff to reduce the vendor base by:

Standardizing components to equipment types by make, model, and distributor.Specifying standardized components to equipment vendors/rebuilders.Identifying and specifying the best component available at the most competitive price.

Create and maintain equipment files, support documents, machine control media/programs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, manuals, and updates to the Computerized Maintenance Management (CMM) database.Perform various duties involving machine support and engineering design work.Prepare instructions, BOMs, and wire schedules (electronically or sketched) needed by Maintenance personnel for upgrades, installations, and engineering changes.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GEDCurrently enrolled in an accredited University Degree Program or Automation Certification program. Preferred areas of study: Engineering or similar technical field.If enrolled in an undergraduate program, applicants must be at minimum of sophomore standing in Fall of 2024.3.0 overall GPA or higherProficiency with MS Office productsPHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS (travel, lifting restrictions, etc.): Limited travel within the US Required. Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. requiredLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
