Position Overview:
The Navistar San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is a benchmark facility that builds leading-edge commercial vehicles to meet the needs of todays and tomorrows customers. By using proven engineering and leading technology and manufacturing principles, Navistar takes mobility and transport to a new level of impact. This facility?has the?flexibility to build?Class 6-8 trucks along with Electric Vehicles that allow Navistar to add capacity to support anticipated industry growth. Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, Navistar's newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains, optimizing our supplier network and improving quality.

The
Manufacturing Operations Supervisor
role directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives. Develops schedules and workforce requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
San Antonio Manufacturing runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:30AM - 4:00PM).This role will support production and may need to cover production recovery times including Fridays and weekends as needed.Responsibilities:Drive safety improvements, behaviors and a strong culture of safety in the General AssemblyResponsible for leading and supervising up to 30 hourly employees in the general assembly.Drive to quality and production performance metricsAllocate staffing and coverage, foresee production issues and diminish down-timeCommunicate across multiple functions including engineering, quality, supply chain and other production departments in the manufacturing plant to ensure production goals are metDevelop and maintain standard work instructionsEnsure employees are heard, ideas are shared, and drive a culture of continuous improvementSupport problem resolution, root cause analysis and corrective action tracking and sustainmentLead by example with the TRATON core valuesMinimum Requirements:
Bachelors degreeAt least 3 years of production/manufacturing experienceORMasters degreeAt least 1 year of production/manufacturing experienceORAt least 5 years of production/manufacturing experienceAdditional Requirements:
