About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer at Gradient, you will deeply understand enterprise automation problems and create a best-in-class product that empowers non-technical users to leverage AI. Additionally, as one of our earliest engineers, you will collaborate directly with the leadership team often. You'll also have the opportunity to help build out the engineering team and have a large hand in shaping the team culture.
ResponsibilitiesDrive projects end-to-end, from scoping and design to implementation and rolloutHelp formulate technical roadmap by collaborating closely with leadership, applied scientists, and other engineersDesign and build delightful user-facing products from the ground up, including working hands-on with customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Gradient technology, from demos to proofs of concept to full productionizationStay up-to-date with the AI landscape and technologies, ensuring we are using the best tool at hand for our platformHelp uplevel the engineering team and shape culture and technical best practicesQualifications
Have 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience in a production environmentAre experienced with web development and fluent with React, Typescript, and PythonCan leverage the latest generative AI techniques (prompt engineering, RAG, and more)Are excited about working at an early stage startup and building products from 0 to 1, and have experience doing soAre interested in exploring ways to harness AI to disrupt industries and working directly with customers to identify new product innovationsAbout Us

Pay Range and Compensation Package
In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the salary range for this position is set between $200,000 and $280,000. However, adjustments outside of this range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications significantly differ from those outlined in the job description. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our equity plan and benefits program.
