Responsibilities
Manages the reliable, safe, and compliant operation and maintenance of the grid application system, and implements grid modernization capital and expense programsDevelops and manages energy efficiency projects, integrating advanced technologies and renewable energy sources to reduce energy consumptionDevelops and implements tools, processes and procedures that enhance system reliability and organizational efficienciesCollaborates with cross-functional teams to promote energy-saving practices and ensure effective energy management throughout the organizationIdentifies, implements, and maintains key performance and process metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, procedures and applicationsDesigns, develops and maintains plans related to data integrity, system reliability, and consistencyOversees software development and maintenance support for the grid applications as they relate to the operation and control of the electrical gridDesigns, administers and monitors grid application software configurationsFacilitates grid application vendor software enhancements and leverages product capability, driving standardization, limiting customization, and maximizing reuse of content developed for previous solutionsDevelops group performance expectations and goals that align with line of business and Company goalsA material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.Minimum Qualifications
Seven or more years of experience in designing, building, implementing, maintaining, and supporting complex Utility, Realtime or Enterprise systems- OR - Seven or more years of experience as a user of a Utility grid applicationPreferred Qualifications
Electric Utility Outage Management / ADMS system experienceExperience administering containerization technologies such as Kubernetes.Experience developing shell scripts and/or applications of moderate complexity in C#, Java, or PythonKnowledgeable with Linux use and administration.Knowledgeable on Cybersecurity best practices.Additional Information
This position's work mode is
hybrid.
The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. Santa Ana .However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at
Rosemead or Alhambra.This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation.Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.The Alternative Work Schedule can be discontinued based on business needs.Relocation may apply to this position.Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
