Job Description
Direct and coordinate all phases of production through direct supervision of subordinates and in coordination with supporting organizations. Responsible for strategic oversight and implementation of program management methodologies. Manage program from proposal to bottomline profitability. Negotiate between organizations to develop onload/offload plans and integrated schedules using knowledge of production systems (e.g., supply, engineering, manufacturing, support, etc); monitor and ensure compliance with plans and schedules and reports status to Management and Customers as required. Act as program focal point for coordination between manufacturing sites regarding work transition, and act as primary interface to customers for that particular program. Work directly with the manufacturing ATL to ensure production and quality requirements are met. Conduct weekly/daily program meetings to understand progress and track actions. Review contracts, pricing, engineering changes, delivery and quality trends; compare contract requirements to proposal and follow-up as required. Identify and communicate impact items and prepare plans to mitigate impact or recover; monitor revenue and prepare rolling forecasts; oversee the program from proposal to bottom line profitability; P&L and working capital responsibilities. Act as program focal point for the customer; engage in routine reporting of performance; Effectively interface with business partners in all areas including customers, key employees, managers, sales, supply chain, finance, and support personnel to achieve strategic goals; motivate and lead staff in organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling to ensure that desired results are achieved in day-to-day operations and in meeting mid-to long term strategic goals; develop and implement LEAN and Six Sigma initiatives. Define and implement changes to improve processes and financial results; coordinate process improvement activities with the continuous improvement Manager; administer programs to ensure employee safety and compliance with all OSHA requirements; adhere to safe work practices and contribute to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture.
Job Requirements
The position requires a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in production management activities for wiring and/or panel manufacturing in the aerospace industry. Stated experience must include production scheduling; capacity analysis development; project management; product configuration management; and communication with customers for production status, audits and program reviews.
