Position Summary

Do you feel like you're spending more time dealing with production issues and operational toil than writing code and building new features? As a Staff Engineer on the Incident Response team, you'll play a pivotal role in revolutionizing how engineers manage incidents. Our goal is to leverage AI to reduce alert fatigue, automate the correlation of changes with early warning signals, and streamline incident triage and resolution. By building proactive and intelligent incident response capabilities, we aim to reduce MTTR, improve SLAs, and empower engineering teams to focus on what matters most: building great software.About the role

Extensive experience developing highly scalable, distributed applications, products and services in Java, Golang or similar languagesA desire to build products that solve complex technical problems for end usersDeep understanding of how distributed resilient software is built and deployedSolid foundation in data structures, algorithms and software design with strong analytical and debugging skillsComfort in working in short, agile, iterative development cyclesStrong desire to work in an unstructured, fast moving startup environmentFormal Computer Science education or equivalent experienceAbout you

Design, develop, and maintain critical software in a fast-paced quality conscious environmentAuthor software functional specifications and design documentsQuickly understand complex systems/code and own key pieces of the system, including the delivered qualityDesign and implementation of scalable algorithmsDiagnose and troubleshoot complex problems in a distributed computing environmentPerform peer reviews of specifications, designs, and codeWork alongside Site Reliability Engineers and cross functional teams to diagnose/troubleshoot any production performance related issuesEnvironment is Java and related technologies.Work Location
