Job Description

W. R. Grace & Co. is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Technical Sales Manager to join our team! This US based remote position involves representing W. R. Grace and working closely with current customers and prospects who utilize ART (a joint venture between W. R. Grace and Chevron) hydroprocessing catalyst technologies to provide provide technical service, technical proposals, catalyst loadings and startup support. The role requires 30% travel.

Responsibilities

Acting as the main technical contact for all assigned customers in the region. Organize and lead customer site visits for technical review and data updates. Interpret operating data to monitor catalyst performance, recommend operating guidelines, and estimate remaining catalyst life. Plan and lead in-plant shutdown and startup assistance, including catalyst loading and sulfiding consultation. Provide answers to clients' operating questions in order to stay close to the customer and encourage future catalyst business. Provide process equipment troubleshooting. Conduct on site visits and periodic operating data reports. Support R&D efforts with unit operating data and analyze R&D results to apply to customer specific situations. Prepare technical estimates for incumbent proposals and present to customer. Work may also include plant test runs, presenting industry technical papers, and/or providing market intelligence. Work safely in refinery environment. Required Experience & Skills

B.S. in Chemical Engineering, STEM, or technical field. Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in a technical role (e.g., engineering, lab/quality, R&D, or related fields) Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct thorough investigative troubleshooting. Obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card), if not already in possession of one. Ability to travel 30% primarily domestically and occasionally internationally. Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Experience in hydroprocessing design, operations, kinetics, and data analysis Ability to communicate with clients to effectively sell our technology. Able to present data, findings, and technical proposals to all levels of customer management. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment to accomplish goals with the ability to travel when required (up to 50%, typical 20-30%) Knowledge of refining technology, operations, and economics with a working knowledge of how to develop value propositions and convey these to customers through excellent communications presentation skills. Knowledge of hydroprocessing specific equipment. Knowledge of FCC operations and specific equipment. Benefits
