We are seeking in Sterling VA an experienced Manufacturing Program Specialist (MPS) to support our Mission Systems programs. The MPS is responsible for supporting their designated programs by coordinating the procurement, manufacturing, and delivery of products to the end customer. Our MPS in Sterling will have both Project/Production planning duties and Cost Accounting responsibilities. You will work closely with various groups in your role, including Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality and Shipping. A successful candidate will have the ability to perform these roles with a positive attitude, and a team first approach that allows us to exceed our internal and external customers’ expectations.
This role will be performed Onsite at our Collins Aerospace Location in Sterling, VA.
What You Will Do
Support Customer Engagements ( PMR, Weekly Review) in support of the Product Line VSL
Track and Report on critical customer deliveries using Line of Balances and Project Plans
Coordinate Cost , Schedule, and delivery estimates in support of Bid and Proposal efforts
Support capital project proposals by estimating tasks, costs, and durations
Effectively lead cross functional teams without direct authority
Work across the organization to develop project plans
Monitor progress and track project performance using metrics
Manages and Communicates material availability, resource planning, task completion, and quality performance
Manages and Communicates implementation of change orders
Performs detailed planning of milestones and acts as Control Account Manager (CAM.)
Collaborates with Production Control Support, Procurement Support, and Master Scheduling to ensure that material master data is accurate and strategic
Collaborates and Communicates with Program and Engineering support
Arranges for and facilitates Knowledge Exchange meetings
Captures “lessons learned” for major programs
Ensures applicable policies and procedures for delivery are followed
Ensures tactical transition activities are completed by the team including BOM reviews
Liaison with practitioner level engineers
Liaison to receiving production team
Validate demand plans and delivery dates
Manage Product Schedule
Prepare and participate in scheduling meetings, by production line or program, based on standard policies and procedures
Develop and validate daily Production build and mitigation plan(s) and redirect and / or re-establish priorities, as required, in support of the Master Schedule
Release and manage Production work orders to support Production start dates as well as validating that all parts were allocated correctly to the given work orders
Ensure work orders are corrected in a timely manner each week to minimize aging work orders
Ensure kitting of material supports the daily build plan and process adhered to
Prioritize and sequence parts on hold back into production line based on customer priority
Facilitate expedited material of critical part shortages to released work orders
Interface with Program Management to stay abreast of Customer priorities and ensure Operations visual boards reflect priorities
Conduct On-Time Delivery root cause analysis and corrective action meetings with Operations, Quality, Program Management, and Procurement to support latest sales estimate gap analysis
Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the EHS policy and management system, the importance of conforming to EHS policies and procedures, and consequences of failing to comply with EHS policies and procedures.

Qualifications You Must Have
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
