Summary About the Position: Serve as the Education Branch Team Lead in direct support of the Nuclear and CWMD Center of Excellence, U.S. Army Nuclear and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Agency and Headquarters, Department of the Army Responsibilities Oversee the programming, development, and oversight of Army-wide courses provided on behalf of the Agency Director. Analyze and interpret DoD and Army guidance in order to advise leadership on emerging officer qualification requirements. Advise the Agency Director of projected program shortfalls and develop resourcing and prioritization solutions. Oversee preparation of long-range planning schedules to develop out-year course scheduling dates. Manage budgets and allocated funds associated with courses and travel related expenses. Provide oversight of course planning, scheduling, funding, and equipment. Prepare and present final submissions based upon analysis of annual needs and requirements. Maintain subject matter expertise with Department of Defense enterprise systems. Serve as the principal advisor and represents agency at meetings and conferences. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing policy related to education qualification requirements; projecting budget impacts and allocated funding; developing course planning and scheduling; analyzing budgets to ensure qualifications, education and/or technical course requirements are met. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and Evaluating Project Management Reading Comprehension Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
