Product Design Engineering ManagerEssential FunctionsCandidate will need to have experience managing an Engineering/Design DepartmentFollow / Implement design practices and processes of an integrated Engineering system.Engaging individual, Quality driven,
customer focused!Develop, apply and maintain requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products.Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects.Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.Qualifications:Mechanical Engineering Degree or EquivalentR&D leader investigating the building materials market to help develop new and innovative productsDesign, engineer, innovate and develop profiles for systems that can be efficiently fabricated by our valued customers that meet or exceed the market needs.Manage a Staff of Design Engineers and Support Staff including product Testing and certificationSupport various functions of the business including Manufacturing, Quality, Sales & Marketing, and Technical ServicesHaving knowledge of the U.S. Window and Door Market/Certifications - FIGA/ASTM & NFRC is a major plusSkillsDemonstrate the ability to multi-task many projects simultaneouslyExcellent communicator and can lead Team activitiesProject Management skillsProduct presentation skillsKnowledge of General Engineering protocol & procedures as well as various other administrative skills.Be able to travel without restrictions to visit customers and prospectsPerform Structural Calculations on components, sub-assemblies and assembliesUse of Design Software - AutoCAD, Solid Works, 3D ModelingThis is a direct hire. It's not set, will help with move.Bonus max payout target is 7.5%, up to 15%.300 total employees.
