Active NY licenseBE/BCDEAA minimum of 1 year experience in serving people with developmental disabilitiesEnrolled in Medicaid/MedicareResponsibilities:
Provide on-site psychiatric care and consultative services for Individuals with developmental disabilities.Evaluate patients and advise on psychiatric treatment.Provide psychiatric assessments based on observations and interactions with the patients.Ensure the evaluations and assessments are clear and concise and convey all pertinent information.Participate in the development of treatment plans and case management.Provide electronic prescriptions for psychotropic drugs for patients as needed.Provide crisis intervention and prescribe pharmaceutical intervention as necessary.Monitoring positive and negative effects of psychotropic medications prescribed.Mediate admissions of patients to a psychiatric inpatient unit, if necessary.Review prospective patient transfer.Provide in-service programs to increase the knowledge of staff providing care and treatment and attend any specified training that is deemed necessary.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
