Job SummaryJob DescriptionMedline Industries has an immediate need for a Senior Financial Analyst based primarily at the corporate HQ (Northfield, IL). This individual will partner with the Sterile Procedure Tray Division on a variety of projects supporting category growth, margin improvement, and forecasting. This role will deliver meaningful and actionable revenue and profitability insights monthly to key decision makers in the business through ad-hoc analyses, financial modeling, reporting, and commentary. The right person for this role is a great communicator and analytical thinker.Analyze and investigate complex information reported in the internal financial statements and other periodic financial reports.Conduct and document moderate to complex financial analysis projects.Provide financial decision support with business partners and research and recommend options and solutions for improved business results to management.Analyze financial results, trends and metrics monthly and meet with Division President, sales/kitting leadership team, directors and PM team to communicate historical and forward-looking results.
Identify and communicate key drivers in regard to the full financial profit and loss statement (sales, AGM, category/customer/business activity drivers, adjustments, etc).
Lead forecasting processes including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP) and Quarterly forecasts (or Outlooks). Understand historical trends and collaborate with business leaders to assess future impacts.
Participate in finance special projects to enhance analytics/forecasting capabilities.
Complete ad-hoc financial analyses to support business decision making.
Perform ROI analysis, scenario modeling, and provide decision support for future business planning decisions and investments.
Provide guidance and specialized expertise to business partners and analysts in the department.
Drive continuous improvement by creating new analysis, innovating on current metrics and reporting.
Post month-end journal entries on ad-hoc basis.
RequirementsBachelor's degree.
3+ years of relevant work experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Experience working with an ERP system - SAP experience is a plus.
Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred RequirementsBachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
