NCCCO Crane / equipment operators Located at the US Army Corps of Engineers managed dam facility.

Summary of Position:
NCCCO Crane / equipment operatiors for a Dam gates rehabilitation project performed starting
October 15th, 2024 thru August 2026

General Purpose of Job:
Sets up, operates, and tends Link Belt RTC-8050, 50-ton rough terrain crane positioned on a floating sectional barge plant. Other equipment that may be operated is a 25'-3" long 600 HP Push Boat or Project Work Boat. Other duties/work will be required to be done while crane/boats are not in operation.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Read work orders to determine production specifications and information.Be familiar with or have the ability to follow US Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 safety regulations.Observe operation of equipment to ensure continuity of flow, safety, and efficient operation, and to detect malfunctions.Move controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment.Record data from operations, testing, and production on specified forms.Maintains adequate stock of materials, ingredients, supplies and fuel needed to perform job and continuous operation of equipment.Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards.Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, and/or products at specified intervals to ensure conformance to requirements.Clean, adjust and maintain equipment, using hand tools.Notify superintendent of needed repairs.Set gauges to specified fineness of grind.Reject defective products and readjust equipment to eliminate problems.Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials.Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability.Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.
Select gear, such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces using chain falls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment.Moves machine hoses and ducting into position in preparation for steel repair, painting, and blasting.
All and any additional tasks assigned required.
Compensation:
Crane - Hourly Rate and Fringe Based on Prevailing Davis Bacon Wage Rates ($46.75 base + $34.95 fringes)Boat - Hourly Rate and Fringe Based on Prevailing Davis Bacon Wage Rates ($42.45 base + $34.95 fringes)
