Accounting Manager Salt Lake City, UT Job Type Full-time Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting functions, manage the month-end close process, ensure accurate reconciliations, and ensure compliance with companys accounting policies. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This individual will need to also think about the business from an operational standpoint and be a business partner to the Finance Director. Duties and responsibilities: Daily Accounting Functions: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable. Oversee the preparation and posting of journal entries. Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions. Month-End Close Process: Manage and complete the month-end close process on time, ensuring all financial data is accurate. Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review. Coordinate with various departments to ensure all necessary information is collected for month-end closing. Reconciliations: Conduct monthly financial statement reconciliations and other reconciliations as necessary. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Financial Reporting: Prepare both internal (ICM) and external (Campbell Companies) financial statement reporting. Provide other financial analysis and insights to support decision-making as needed. Compliance and Other: Provide support for annual financial audit and tax return preparation. Maintain accounting controls and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Oversee corporate compliance including sales tax, property tax, and business licensing. Respond to internal inquiries regarding accounting entries and provide support and analysis to management and operating departments as needed. Required Qualifications: Always think safety first Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of company personnel Must be organized and detail oriented Protects organization by keeping information confidential and maintaining high ethical standards Excellent computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge. Extensive experience with GL inquiry, research, and transaction analysis.
