Job Summary:This position will support the Department of Radiology transactional accountant team and provide oversight of the Radiology Finance inbox, which oversees a high volume of financial transactions and funding decisions related to travel and expense reimbursement, events, official functions, and all other expense types for UW-Health, School of Medicine and Public Health, and UW-Foundation. The ideal candidate will have both UW Health and School of Medicine and Public Health expense management and budget experience. This position will also manage various reporting activities under the direction of the financial manager and associate department administrator.Responsibilities:Leads the collection and analysis of the department's financial data to ensure efficient financial resource deployment. Expertly informs the handling of complex fiscal analysis, application of mathematical modeling to develop and interpret information that assist with decision making and policy formulation, and the development of budgets.10% Prepares reports, spreadsheets, and schedules with compiled and conformed financial data from multiple reporting systems5% Uses statistical analysis, simulations, predictive modeling, or other methods to analyze information and develop solutions to business problems10% Recommends and/or approves general ledger entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Leads general ledger reconciliations and complex general ledger account analysis.5% Develops and revises strategic approaches to be used for accomplishing goals10% Leads the development, maintenance, and monitoring of automated financial information systems and budgets, and disseminates updates and results to leadership when appropriate20% Leads the development and implementation of financial processes throughout the department, including the development and delivery of timelines, reports, and recommendations for improvement15% Instructs, trains, and provides feedback to departmental financial staff based on developed goals. Advises on departmental best practices.20% Leads departmental financial staff by establishing vision and tactical approach by which essential tasks should be completed5% May lead other financial staff
