We’re looking for a motivated leader to join our Physical Retail team at Wayfair, focused on providing
new and existing customers with a tangible and elevated way to experience our brand. This role will specifically be focused on building the visual merchandising platform to support merchants and store associates in delivering elevated brand-experiences to our customers.
What You’ll Do
Areas of responsibility include the merchandising and associate-facing tools to plan and execute merchandising strategies within stores (planogram; mobile applications.)
Responsible for helping to bridge brick & mortar business strategy to storefront strategy in one of Wayfair's newest business initiatives.
Builds and manages a pipeline for technology-enabled associate experiences within the physical store setting, leveraging both external and proprietary avenues.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand their businesses and co-develop impactful solutions that drive key business value.
Use Agile processes to collaborate with partnering teams to execute the roadmap.
Communicate and promote the product vision and progress throughout Wayfair including senior partners.
Develop and monitor OKRs for key product initiatives and ensure alignment with stakeholder objectives.
Work with management to improve product craft and processes throughout your workgroup.
What You’ll Need
4 + years building products or infrastructure at scale from concept to launch and beyond.
Ideal candidate will have a background in retail and/or omnichannel or have worked for a physical retailer with a strong online retail presence
Strong technical background with a passion for breaking down challenging problems and drive value incrementally
Sufficient industry literacy to participate in making key choices as well as effectively communicate with technical partners such as engineering.
Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at the senior leadership level, as well as with cross-functional teams
Curious, people-oriented, and collaborative attitude
Deep understanding of business strategy and metrics
A mentality that pushes through issues with creative solutions and tenacity, while maintaining a grace-under-pressure demeanor.
Highly entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for action & customer-focused innovation
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
