The Oracle Life Sciences GIU leads in providing integrated data collection and data management solutions for clinical trials and drug safety. As part of the LSGIU development organization, you'll contribute to a mission-critical platform that empowers our customers to tackle global healthcare challenges in areas such as vaccines and oncology with unparalleled performance, scale, and reliability. Successful candidates will be strong team players capable of working across multiple functions and disciplines. You should be self-directed with deep experience and knowledge in software design, coding, and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

As part of the software engineering division, you'll play a key role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures.

Strategically participate in creating scalable, self-healing, autonomous platform solutions.

Provide leadership and expertise in developing new products, services, and processes, often operating at the forefront of technology.

Define how to leverage the latest technologies to optimize the operational efficiency of the architecture supporting Oracle Health Sciences Cloud Service Offerings.

Perform professional software development tasks, including developing, designing, and debugging software applications or operating systems.

Drive a customer-first culture, keeping the customer at the forefront of decision-making.

Lead a holistic and integrated approach to ensuring data integrity, information confidentiality, and service availability.

Define and monitor performance indicators.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower-level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10 years of software engineering or related experience.

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
