Accountant

Our client in the Windsor area is looking for an accountant to join their team. This is a well-rounded role that will give exposure to all areas of accounting. The leaders are known to mentor and grow staff in a flexible and fun environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports for monthly financial closing process using ERP system (Syteline) and Microsoft Excel.

Generates and analyzes reports for monthly financial closing process.

Prepare reports for external accounting firm for annual audits and income tax returns.

Manage accounts payable function, including inputting purchase order and expense invoices, issuing all vendor payments, and maintaining and updating vendor records.

Participate in annual budget process.

Assist with business tax filings such as sales tax returns and annual reports.

Train as back-up and assist as needed with accounts receivable function.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements

Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
