OverviewServe as liaison between Stores Operations and customers and develop programs and activities to enhance Stores objectives, operations and services. Provide quality control and analysis to ensure that all activities comply with Stores objectives of providing excellent service by managing the material supply chain including inspecting, receipting, storing, and distributing material. Provide project support, schedule activities and serve as back up to Operating Supervisors. Plan, coordinate and direct the activities and functions of human and equipment resources in Stores and operate between functional groups.

ResponsibilitiesCore Responsibilities

Provide quality control and analysis to ensure that all activities comply with Stores Operations objectives of providing excellent servicePartner with operating organizations to identify and implement process improvements and cost saving measuresProvide project support, schedule activities and serves as a back up to Operating SupervisorsBenchmark operations across groups and integrate best practices to develop improvement strategies and process reviewsDevelop, compile and evaluate section and individual employee performance measures and standards to ensure achievement of departmental goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)Produce and maintain all performance statistics for the department. Report on them regularly and develop programs to address issues raised in the analysisEnsure the safe operation and maintenance of all equipment associated with the stores operation such as forklifts, storage racks, wrapping machines, strappers etc.Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary guidelines and maintains optimum efficiency in each operationReview the Stores Operations portion of the information technology for reporting and analysis purposes, including various Warehouse Management Systems, (e.g. Mainsaver, DeMAX and Oracle EBS etc.)Enforce security measures for Stores managed areas and perform regular inspections of the warehouse groundsAssume emergency response roles in accordance with coastal storm plan and material management processesWork closely with Union Leadership and Union teamsRespond to storms and other emergencies, staff staging areas as requiredPerform other related tasks and assignments as requiredQualificationsRequired Education/Experience

Master's Degree and with 2 years of operations, logistics, or other relevant experience orBachelor's Degree and with 3 years of operations, logistics, or other relevant experience orAssociate's Degree and with 4 years of operations, logistics, or other relevant experience orHigh School Diploma/GED and with 5 years of customer service, operational and or logistics experiencePreferred Education/Experience

Master's Degree and with 2 years of operations, logistics, or other relevant experienceRelevant Work Experience

Experience in identifying and implementing process improvement RequiredExcellent verbal and written communications skills RequiredDemonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and render sound business decisions RequiredExcellent interpersonal skills RequiredProficiency in MS Office products RequiredExperience leading teams RequiredFamiliarity with the Collective Bargaining Agreements RequiredProblem solving skills RequiredStrong leadership and organizational skills RequiredFamiliarity with inventory and warehouse management systems PreferredExperience supervising and/or interacting with Union employees PreferredExperience with Oracle EBS or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system PreferredProject management experience PreferredKnowledge of Stores/Warehousing/Operations and various equipment and material used by Operating Organizations (Construction, Electric, Gas, Steam) PreferredLicenses And Certfications

Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.Must be able to respond to emergencies during off hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
