Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager and Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in concrete and masonry within the commercial construction sector. This role involves managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. We are also open to looking at someone who is working at a General Contractor who would like to make a change as we work heavily with GC's.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Oversee all aspects of concrete and masonry projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Estimating: Prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete and masonry projects.
Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.
Obtain and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets.
Track project expenses and ensure they align with the budget.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality and progress.
Address any issues or concerns promptly to maintain project integrity.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management and estimating within the concrete and masonry sectors of commercial construction.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and estimating tools.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
