A client of ours in San Antonio, Texas is looking for an SQA Business Analyst for a 6 month contract to possible hire opportunity. Qualified candidates will have the following qualifications:
Summary:
Serve as liaison between management, project managers, developers and end users to conduct requirements definition, analysis, testing, system documentation and translating those needs into user stories and requirements for the development team.
Functions:
Assist with requirements gathering meetings with Subject Matter Expert Collect business process details and create User Stories, Requirements and Specification documentation, and write business rules Communicate systems requirements to developers from written specifications Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop appropriate user documentation Communicate new process details to customers Respond to users requests for operational assistance via e-mail to the Help Desk or by telephone Assist with creating and executing test plans, test scripts and test cases. Assist office managers with Process Improvement initiatives by identifying negative trends and problem areas related to software usage and recommending more efficient software use Define software requirements for complex products as either a business analyst or equivalent role in software delivery (Agile and/or Waterfall). Communicate software needs and recommend software changes to support end user needs Perform other duties as requested by the Quality Assurance Manager (QA Manager)

Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills, an aptitude for learning new technologies and business processes Manage work time efficiently, prioritize multiple projects, and adapt to rapidly changing requirements and deadlines in order to complete assignments in a timely manner Be self-motivated Be detail oriented strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Familiarity with Oracle applications Familiarity with Accounting or Property Tax Law Familiarity with PL-SQL and ability to write and execute query statements
Skills:
Experience in software development practices including requirements documentation and software testing. Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall development practices and associated skills including user story writing. Proficiency in using a PC with Microsoft Windows operating system; Microsoft Office products, and Internet Explorer Ability to speak, read, and write English
Education required:
Education and/or work experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or closely related field
