Seeking an energetic, personable, dependable individual to join a dynamic team responsible for the management and operations of a large Government campus in McLean, Virginia. The Project Manager works closely with the property management team and is responsible for managing design and construction projects ranging from small tenant renovations to major infrastructure upgrades. The ideal candidate will be an architect, engineer or construction manager with strong communication skills and experience in mission critical environments.
This is an in-person, on-site position with limited telework.PrerequisitesBachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or construction management is preferred but equivalent work experience will be considered.Minimum of 3 years' project or facilities management experience, ideally in a mission critical environment.Proficient in reviewing construction drawings and specifications.Experienced in developing scopes of work, cost estimating and analyzing proposals.Must be detail oriented, organized and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess or be willing to seek and obtain a Top Secret security clearance with polygraph.Responsibilities:Manage assigned projects from inception through completion to include scope development, procurement/oversight of design and construction services, permitting, coordination with vendors and tenants, and project closeout. Mechanical and electrical infrastructure upgradesManage the on-site drawing library and work closely with the Architect and Engineer of Record to ensure that as-builts are incorporated in a timely manner and drawings are up to date.Implement an effective QA/QC program to ensure that all work is performed in a safe, professional manner, in accordance with contract requirements and best practices for mission critical facilities.Assist the property managers with building inspections, maintenance and repair projects, and other operational support as needed.
