Where is the work:
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of Lexington, KY.
What you will do:
Utilize Boolean logic to drive parametric CAD models using proprietary Trane Technologies software
Understand and adhere to design and drafting standard practices
Work from oral or written engineering instructions, procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketches
Complete assignments and detect and correct own errors.
Maintain competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company-provided training and materials
Produces designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems.
Review orders to ensure they are error free prior to being built in the shop
Develop a good working knowledge and familiarity of design and drafting standard practices, methods and processes
Ability to lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments. Exercise sound judgment in recognition of potential design problems. Detects and corrects own errors.
Must be customer driven, innovative and quality minded in performance of all assigned duties.
Develop and exercise good communication skills.
Maintains awareness and adheres to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel.
What you will bring:
Associates degree or 4+ years of experience using computer aided graphic solutions in lieu of degree
Experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Inventor, or ProEngineer
Programming experience a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Must understand basic principles of designing equipment, drafting, and computer-aided design and apply principles to assigned tasks
Must be able to function in a technical engineering team environment
Must have the ability to handle multiple, varied tasks simultaneously
Must be able to adjust to changing demands, priorities and objectives
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $55,000-$65,000
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
