JOB SUMMARY:

JOB SUMMARY:As a member of the finance team, the Senior Accountant will contribute to the month-end closing, fixed asset accounting, and general ledger accounting. You will report to the Business Controller. You will work in New Hudson, MI.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:1. Month-end Close and Coordinationa. You will coordinate the month-end closing within the department and with other departments.b. You will prepare month-end schedules.c. Review subsidiary ledgers and reconcile with GL.2. Fixed Assetsa. Responsible for the proper capitalization and tracking of fixed assets.b. You will ensure all supporting documentation is maintained and organized.c. Plan, prepare and complete periodic fixed asset inventories.d. Develop comprehensive fixed asset purchasing, capitalization, depreciation and disposal policy.

3. Audit Coordinationa. You will coordinate year-end audit with external CPA firm.b. Provide first level support to audit requests.c. Minimize audit fees by providing timely and accurate schedules.4. Cost Accounting and Inventory Analysisa. You will prepare reconciliation of general ledger to perpetual inventory systemb. Help maintain the standard costing system and analyze variances.c. Review inventory adjustments and seek approval.5. Forecasting / Other:a. You will develop and use tools to forecast expenses.b. You will use the ERP system to populate forecast templates.c. Manage purchase requisitions to ensure GL assignment accuracy and ensure approval limits are within company policy.d. Manage maintenance of delegation of authority policy for employees.

To succeed, you will needREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:3+ years experience Month-end closingUnderstanding of standard costing and variance analysisUnderstanding of IFRS accounting3+ years' experience with an ERP systemSQL knowledgeInternal and External Audit ExperienceManagerial Experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in accounting or financeCMA or CPA license preferred.Minimum 2-4 years of recent experience in a manufacturing environment using standard costing
