What the day will look like

Accountable for routine support activities to brokers and senior brokers with defined deadlines.

Gathers and analyzes data on exposures, loss history and coverage needs for international/global renewal strategy documents, submissions, and proposals.

Participate in client/broker strategy meetings.

Review quotes, binders and policies for completion and accuracy.

Lead the premium billing process for all assigned clients.

Delegates work to support staff and groups where applicable.

Monitors and follows-up with Aon network offices on global program coordination activities including invoice generation, in country policy issuance, and premium collection within defined deadlines.

Manages client open items lists and responds to client ad-hoc requests and questions within ability/knowledge.

Assist with the management of client relationships to provide superior customer service.

Facilitates the timely and accurate flow of information between clients, AE and Brokers

Handle daily work within established guidelines and receive guidance on newly introduced assignments.

As an Associate Broker, you will be supporting a team of brokers to strategize and solve for client’s multinational insurance challenges. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with Aon colleagues from over 150 countries around the world!

Skills and experience that will lead to success

A knowledge of the principles and practices within a technical and professional arena is critical to success, as well as effective communication and market/industry perspectives and applications to specific client situations. To be successful, negotiation skills are essential, along with a history of building credibility (knowledge/trust) with both clients and Account Executives throughout our extensive internal network.

Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook

Superior verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision

Meticulous attention to detail

Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and manage deadlines

A passion for team work and enjoys supporting others

Advanced problem-solving and interpersonal skills

Must have the willingness to obtain an active Property and Casualty license within three months of hire(90 days)

P&C licensing and costs associated with the coursework, will be paid by Aon

Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of industry related experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $65,000 - $75,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, IL. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
