As an exclusive provider of VSL post-tensioning systems and VSL cable stays in the United States, Structural Technologies have also generated a reputation for exceeding Client expectations offering a quality product with technical support.Structural Technologies is expanding our Heavy Civil division that focuses on the construction of new bridges, repair of existing bridges or special structures and water & wastewater tanks.Recruiting for the position of Project Manager, the successful candidate would be based out of our Heavy Civil office in Dallas, Tx. In the position you will have responsibilities for managing complex and specialty civil construction projects within a vibrant, growing team as follows:Planning and executing self-performed complex civil construction projects that include precast or cast-in place segmental bridge erection, heavy lifting / lowering or sliding of structures, cable stay or post-tensioned structures, including both material supply and installation scopes of workPreparing and implementing contracts inclusive of negotiating revisions while working with internal contracts teams as neededDemonstrate a dedication to safety and quality control on all aspects of project management while providing leadership expectations to field teams.Developing and managing schedules in collaboration with field leadership and clientsMaintaining profit & loss responsibility as well as other project financial reporting including projections, budgets, cost to completes, change orders, etc.Overseeing the buyout of permanent materials, temporary materials, and equipment for projects.Integration into the heavy civil division providing strong leadership qualities and direct supervision to project teams (including other Project Managers, Field Managers, Project Engineers, and field crews) and subcontractorsWorking closely with in-house Estimators and Sales teams to assist in reviewing bids and developing proposalsDeveloping and maintaining strong customer relationships

In order to apply for the position, candidates should as a minimum meet the following criteria:Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil / Structural Engineering or related field of study5-12 years of relevant civil construction industry experienceProven experience to manage multiple projects at any one timeDemonstrated capability to successfully manage construction projects in the range of $1 Million - $10 Million in contract valuePrevious experience managing heavy civil projects that include structural concrete placement, beam erection, segmental construction, or similar activities. (Hands on construction related experience is a plus)Strong knowledge of computer-based programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), HCSS, MS Project or Primavera P6, Procore as well as other project management related and forecasting toolsStrong leadership skills to effectively train and mentor othersTravel expectation 20-25% as needed, project relocation may be necessaryOur ideal candidate is an innovative but decisive individual who can work effectively in a highly collaborative, team-based environment; has the ability to set goals and expectations and hold others accountable; can encourage and mentor others; is approachable, empathetic and outgoing; can quickly gain trust and respect; and is able to establish and maintain relationships.
