The Project Manager is responsible for setting the project team's tone, vision, and direction, including high-level goals and initiatives that embrace the core fundamentals of EPS. The Project Manager is also responsible for the overall execution of the project and contract agreement. Works hand-in-hand with the Owner's Project Executive. Determines teams' structure and staffing needs, as well as tracks and invoices for monthly billing.ResponsibilitiesClient and Partner EngagementBuild and nurture client/partner alliances, leveraging relationships to increase bidding opportunities.Think and act like an owner, positively impacting project earnings through strategic decision-making.Pre-Construction SupportServe as an advisor during the pre-construction phase, assisting with planning efforts and logistics.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, using EPCM internal leads as needed for pre-construction efforts.Project OversightAttend all client/partner and Contractor meetings to provide solutions to problems and concerns.Support the overall project execution and alignment process, including late-stage development, contract negotiations, permitting, installation activities and durations, testing and commissioning, and closeout.Assist and coordinate any state or county permitting.Construction ManagementConstruction Agreement involvement (EPC BOS, Modules, BESS, O&M, Shared Facilities, MPT).Managed the Owner's scope of equipment supply schedule and coordinate with the EPC Contractor.Review various EPC design deliverables for the site, gen-tie alignment, and integration documents for O&M building.Manage overall site activities to ensure clear definition and minimize scope gaps.Handle contract disputes with a "Win-Win" mentality and review all Prime Contract change orders and letters.Oversee Construction Agreement involvement, manage equipment supply schedules, and coordinate with EPC contractors.Ensure partnering sessions are held with all significant project stakeholders.Manages all Owner Contractors and Subcontractors, including but not limited to Q/A, liaison roles, environmental monitoring, and onsite compliance.Risk Management and ComplianceManage the project risk registry, including opportunities such as value engineering.Monitor submittal and RFI logs, ensuring timely documentation.Manage on-site issues and recovery plans, and be the first line of defense before Owner engagement. Lead Change Order process. Ensure issues or requests brought to the Owner are vetted and valid.Stakeholder EngagementCoordinate and provide onsite tours to stakeholders.Work with EPC partners to establish the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program.Report any engineering design and work sequence changes or anticipated field issues to the Owner's Project Manager.Reporting and CommunicationEnsure all corporate initiatives and concerns about clients/partners are communicated to the project team.Work with the EPC on delivery protocols and reporting for Renewable Energy Tax Abatements (RETA).Verify the accuracy of weekly and monthly reports with the Construction Manager before publishing them.Coordinate and lead status calls (e.g., weekly, monthly) with EPC and other stakeholders alongside the Owner's support.Provide regular verbal and written reports on project progress and metrics.Team Leadership and DevelopmentAttend and participate in weekly EPS Construction Services management call meetings.Establish and lead team calls, including the creation of agendas and meeting notes, create master task sheets, and ensure timely completion.Provide leadership, guidance, and support for the growth and development of subordinates and on-site team personnel.Identify staffing needs and initiate dialogue with the Owner based on project requirements.Safety and Quality AssuranceEnsure that all construction sites maintain safety from mobilization through COD, including conducting ad-hoc safety audits.Ensure that work is completed to specification and per code requirements.Policy and Procedure DevelopmentAssist with developing and supporting local Project Management office policies, procedures, and best practices.Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and ExperienceA bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or another related Engineering Science (Preferred).Minimum of 8 years of professional experience managing the construction of major projects, preferably in the building of utility-scale construction projects.Solar PV, BESS, or wind power project experience (Preferred).Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.Certification in Project Management or degree in Project Management (Preferred).Advanced proficiency in MS Projects, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe.Demonstrable skills in Project and Construction Management.Excellent skills in record keeping, including documenting meetings, decisions, site conditions, and change order defense.Safety-trained for field work (OSHA-30).Self-driven to exceed internal and external customer expectations with proven leadership and management skills.
