The Network Analyst/Technician supports the configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network services and devices.
In the Network Operations Center, the analyst monitors critical processes for our clients enterprise-wide systems and applications, ensuring job completions, addressing interruptions and failures, and interacting with programmers and requestors to resolve issues.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resolves issues in a timely manner.Provides technical expertise for network infrastructure designs, expansions, and configurations.Maintains 24/7 coverage and on-call support to restore service and maintain service levels.Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots network services and devices.Resolves network issues with customers.Performs inspections and upgrades.Develops and maintains documentation.Troubleshoots and tests network services.Performs troubleshooting, testing, scripting, and coding.Supports systems and configuration changes without direction.
Compensation:52K-75K Annually; exact compensation will be based on years and level of experience.

IP - Understanding of the OSI network model and the mechanics of the IP ProtocolEthernet - Understanding of the OSI network model and the mechanics of EthernetLayer 1 - Understanding of transmission mediaLinux/Unix shell/cli orientation or experienceExperience or exposure to Ethernet & IP protocol analyzers like Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.General understanding of IT security challenges as they relate to data networkingAwareness of network monitoring protocols and their useAbility to display an aptitude for learning and a troubleshooting, and debugging mindsetPractical knowledge of DHCP in operational environmentsUnderstanding of DNS requests and the types of available records needed to meet user needsExperience with incident management systems to track and manage workflowUnderstanding of Service Management practices in an operational settingWillingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledgeUnderstanding of the importance of diligence in documentation in an operations setting
Must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, and three years of related IT experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
