SUMMARY
The Las Vegas Desert Dogs launched on June 21, 2021, as the 15th team in the National Lacrosse League and began play in December 2022. The team is co-owned by Wayne Gretzky, Dustin Johnson, Steve Nash, and Joe Tsai. The team plays at Lee's Family Forum in Henderson, Nevada
The Desert Dogs' Internship Program allows individuals to become an integral part of the organization's day-to-day operations. Throughout the season, interns will be given the opportunity to learn in numerous areas. These areas include but are not limited to ticket sales, sponsorship sales and activations, customer service, marketing, community relations, promotions, lacrosse operations, team equipment, and general business operations.
Though each internship is given primary responsibilities, individuals will develop skills in several areas for the season.
Interns must be available for all Desert Dogs home games (and playoffs if necessary) during the 2024-25 season.
JOB DESCRIPTION - WHAT YOU WILL DO:Expected to be available during the entirety of games/events from report time through conclusion of responsibilities. Schedule will be dictated by supervisor and is subject to change as needed.Assist with setup and breakdown of gameday equipment/materials.Assist customer service efforts and other office tasks.Assist with partnership execution and fulfillment of gameday activations, including capturing proof of performance and assisting with partner asset management.Assist in developing partner recaps to show a successful return on investment (ROI).Assist in the office, during camps & clinics, and/or community events as assigned.Other duties as assigned.CANDIDATE PROFILE - WHO YOU ARE:
Must be at least 18 years oldMust have reliable means of transportation to and from gamesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysMust be able to work long shiftsPositive attitude and willingness to learnAbility to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situationsAbility to be prompt and dependableClean driving recordAbility to multi-task and work in a team environmentMust display attention to detailAbility to easily stand for extended periods of time and move up and down stairs
Travel Requirements
May be required to travel on some occasions ( Work Environment
Works primarily in an indoor arena, but upon request will be expected to work outdoor events.Will be expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends, and holidays.This job will require extended periods of standing, and often will require lifting up to 50 pounds.
