Position Title: Systems Analyst Department: Enrollment Systems & Operations Reports To: Executive Director of Enrollment Systems & Operations (ES&O) Location: Remote - with expectations to be onsite (River Forest, IL) 2 to 4 times a month Position Summary : The Systems Analyst serves as a key member of the Enrollment Systems & Operations (ES&O) team, playing a pivotal role in managing and optimizing Dominican University's enrollment customer relationship management (CRM) system, Slate. This position is responsible for developing and enhancing specific Slate modules/functions and related processes. Additionally, the Systems Analyst will assist with ES&O's ongoing support of Dominican's strategic priorities via its work with various University departments (e.g., Financial Aid, Housing, ADA, Athletics, and the Registrar). Duties/Responsibilities: Serves as the lead administrator for a portfolio of Slate system tools/modules and assists with the day-to-day system maintenance. Serves as the first-tier manager of enrollment systems and operations inquiries, delegating tickets/cases as necessary. Assists with enrollment records caseload, when needed, to meet demand. Manages data imports and exports by leveraging Slate's Source Format tool. Supports system integrations between Slate and other institutional systems, including Dominican's student information system (SIS), document imaging tool, and financial aid system. Serves as a primary developer of the systems processes documentation used to build ES&O's knowledgebase as a departmental and Slate end-user resource. Support system audits, updates, and testing, including updating Slate-hosted and third-party applications. Executes procedures to ensure the validity and integrity of admissions data. Partners with ES&O team members, institutional stakeholders, and vendor partners on data validation and system maintenance efforts. Provides system training for institutional users of Slate. Builds and maintains system queries and reports; assists with reporting and data analysis. Serves a key role in annual admission cycle preparation, updating applications, forms, communications, and other system components as needed. Helps with academic programs management in Slate and Jenzabar, working with relevant stakeholders on system-related updates. Troubleshoots issues across Slate and integrated systems and implements solutions. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and assists with executing solutions. Performs other duties as requested by immediate supervisor. Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree At least two years of professional full-time experience using enterprise software systems, such as a CRM, SIS, or ERP Strong computer and data management skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges Understanding of relational database concepts and reporting software Strong spreadsheet skills, including experience leveraging Microsoft Excel's functions, pivot tables, and other advanced tools for data management, validation, and analysis Excellent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and ability to work with a diverse group of technical and non-technical people and handle interactions/concerns professionally Ability to manage competing projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines Knowledge of and adherence to industry privacy laws (including FERPA) and best practices Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree Background in in systems, data, programming languages, technical writing, software, and/or computer science Experience in higher education work, specifically in enrollment management, recruitment, and admissions Flexibility and motivation to learn new systems and maintain fluency with changing higher education technologies Professional experience using Slate by Technolutions Experience with business process development and documentation Experience with data integration Experience with data visualization software, such as Tableau Physical Demands: Ability to spend long durations of the workday sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Salary and FLSA Status Salary: $57,000- $62,000 annually FLSA Status: Exempt 37.5 hours Benefits Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan with employer matching contributions Professional development opportunities Tuition remission for employees and their dependents Flexible spending accounts (FSA) Generous paid time off (PTO) Employment at Dominican University is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
