Requirements Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, or equivalent work experience Minimum 7 years of Technical Writing experience Experience with military/government documentation Proficient with Microsoft Office products Customer-focused and a self-starter [LI-LH1] Desired Skills Possess an active TS/SCI clearance Master's degree in Technical Writing or English, or equivalent work experience Minimum 5 years of Technical Writing experience Be DoD 8570-compliant with the equivalent of an IAT II certification (Security or higher) Description The Senior Technical Writer will work with the Joint Threat Warning System (JTWS) Ground SIGINT Kit (GSK) Team to create and maintain documentation to include Technical Manuals, Quick Reference Guides, PowerPoint presentations, and training curriculum. The Senior Technical Writer will support the JTWS GSK STATIC 2 contractor and government teams. Supports the design and production of digital and print artifacts to include, but not limited to, the design, creation, and maintenance of training manuals, quick-start guides, computer-based training, and video trainings/tutorials Generates training packages and curriculum for: computer-based training and classroom training on basic electronics, use of test equipment, troubleshooting and system-specific setup, testing, and operation Prepares and updates operator-training documents to include GSK operator training syllabi and system Quick Reference, Maintenance and Operational Guides Prepares, reviews, revises, and maintains technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation Writes and edits technical documentation for hardware and software to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentation Creates code documentation for software; produces implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; provides data definition, and data flow documentation, and formats technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources Maintains a documentation library and a documentation system for storage and management of GSK processes and documents on a DoD domain Generates, maintains, and manages project documentation, reports, and briefs Clearance Information SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET/ SCI LEVEL Diversity & Inclusion We strongly believe in the abundance of differences among individuals.
