Position Summary:

CVS Health is recruiting for an Executive Director, Pharmacy Analytics and Trade Support which is a highly visible role supporting the Specialty and Retail Trade organization. In this high impact position, this strategic forward-thinking individual will influence and assist with the continued refinement/enhancement of the retail branded pharmaceutical and vaccine discount strategy. This collaborative individual will be charged with working with the Trade teams to identify and develop new innovative programs that garner pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturers interest. This individual will lead the management of the IQVIA and Symphony relationship for the CVS Health enterprise. Additionally, this individual will utilize their analytical capabilities to deliver executive level reports for internal and external partners.

You’ll make an impact by:

Leading the Strategy & Analytics function for the SVP Specialty & Retail Trade and the VP Rx Trade Brand Contracting, guiding strategy and influencing senior leadership (EVP+ level) on strategic approaches to brand contracting.

Supporting the SVP, Specialty & Retail Trade with broader enterprise needs/projects.

Working with Trade team colleagues and pharmaceutical manufacturers to identify opportunities to partner on innovative programs.

Contributing to the development and execution of retail branded pharmaceutical product discount strategy, including quantifying value of existing CVS Pharmacy offerings and potential new programs/offerings.

Designing and delivering detailed, accurate reports for senior leadership and external partners summarizing program performance and return on investment.

Supporting negotiations for major vaccine manufacturers and pharmaceutical manufacturers for retail brands.

Leading the management and contract execution of the IQVIA and Symphony relationship for the CVS Health enterprise.

Managing the Lead Director of Analytics that supports Trade and Data Sales teams.

Attending industry conferences and stay abreast to changing market dynamics, product pipelines and competitive offerings.

Supporting CVS Health in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive consumer-centric workforce that delivers on our purpose and reflects the communities in which we work, live, and serve.

Qualifications:

The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company’s business, as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes:

10+ years of experience in the retail pharmacy and/or pharmaceutical industry.

Pharmaceutical industry knowledge of drug pricing policies, trends, and innovation.

Industry knowledge of pricing policies, trends, and ability to successfully partner internally across the CVS enterprise as well as externally with supplier partners to deliver innovation expected in the marketplace.

Experience in executive analytics, designing and building executive-level, analytic convincing business presentations.

Experience mentoring and developing analytic talent, including developing skills in framing problems, applying new analytical methods, and communicating insights through verbal and written communication and insightful data visualizations.

Working knowledge of advanced analytical approaches and best practices for database development and design.

Advanced presentation and facilitation skills with executive level internal and external customers.

Deep level understanding of finance.

Ability to problem solve, identify, and remove roadblocks, triage, and prioritize issues that impact one or more project work streams.

Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Degree will be valued.

Proven ability to work within a climate of ambiguity.

Strong personal and team organizational skills.

Excellent relationship management, strong team building, and the ability to work across business units within a complex organization.

Education:

Bachelor's degree is required.

15-25%

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$131,500.00 - $303,195.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
