As an active member of the Facility/Market Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Nursing Executive(CNE) is directly responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all functions of Nursing Services. Actively participates in the Executive Leadership Team, sharing authority and responsibility with other executive managers to assure the provision of quality, cost-efficient healthcare. The Vice President/CNE has the authority, accountability and responsibility to establish nursing policies and procedures, nursing standards of patient care, treatment.
Responsibilities
Manages the resources (e.g. staff materials and finances) of the nursing department; plans and directs all nursing activities in that facility
Develops and deploys nursing policies objectives and initiatives for the department; reviews departmental operations to ensure compliance with established standards
Drives the delivery of quality and cost-effective patient care; oversees the performance of nursing staff
Develops the overall competency level of nursing staff; coordinates quality enhancement and process improvement tasks
Actively involved with RN recruitment

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN)
Minimum of 7-10 years of nursing experience and 10 years of nurse leadership experience
California Hospital leadership, specifically working with CNA
Union experience
Managed care & Value based care experience
Preferred:
Masters degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g. MSN/MBA/MHA)
Capital projects / Tower build
Licensure:
Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of California
Pay Range
$88.46 - $123.84 /hour
