It is intended to provide the continuity of services to individuals who have been incarcerated and are transitioning to the community. Section staff work collaboratively with internal prison staff, Community Supervision (PPO) staff and Local Reentry Councils developing, implementing, and monitoring correctional and reentry interventions for justice involved individuals. The goals of the section include improving individual behavior, job preparation including potential education and training, and identified supportive services to become successful in their future goals. The section utilizes the basic principles of evidence-based practices starting with research and decision-support analysis, working with Community Supervision and Local Reentry Councils to deliver sustainable programs and services in the major areas of substance use, transitional housing, medical, cognitive behavioral programs, educational attainment, and vocational training. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Involvement, Monitor, Evaluate, and Maintenance of programs and initiatives Provide training to all users (offenders and staff) Ensure quality assurance and effectiveness of all programs Preparation and collection of documents, data and reports Organizing and maintaining files Assist with the creating and implementation of program projects and initiatives Support users technical needs and program engagement Conduct project meeting and presentations Serve as project manager with technology programs and evidence programming Provide support, leadership and coordination for other programs and may be required to serve on various committees or workgroups within the section Work may involve developing relationships and coordinating activities with other agencies, divisions, and private organizations to implement new programs, to assess effectiveness and efficiency of existing programs, processes, systems, and to recommend improvements Note: This position requires to travel to various facilities and locations. This position is eligible for a flexible/hybrid telework schedule under the State of NC Telework Program. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) withState Benefits. Bachelor's degree in a human services or criminal justice field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in correctional programs management or related work (OR) an equivalent combination of education and experience.
