The Middle/High School Principal represents a high level administrative position in the line organization of this school system. The principal is the intermediary officer between the Superintendent and the teaching staff, non-teaching personnel, students, and parents. In this position, the Principal is the leader of the educational program of the building. The administration and supervision of this school shall be in keeping with policies laid down by the Board of Education and general procedures and practice specified by the Superintendent and Central Office Administration.

The Superintendent is seeking enthusiastic, knowledgeable leaders who are committed to developing excellence in education the Cal-Mum community. Administrative experience is preferred. Candidates for the Middle/High School Principal position must: • Hold NYS Certification as a School Administrator or School Building Leader. • Be committed to establishing a positive school environment that focuses on children's academic, social, and emotional development. • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills • Have a reputation as a firm and fair disciplinarian. • Have successful experience supervising faculty in areas of teaching, curriculum, and instructional planning
