The Sales Marketing Planner will have three primary areas of responsibility: to support the Sales and Marketing team by creating custom marketing solutions & proof of performance for NBCU Local Chicago’s advertisers; implement post-buy fulfillment of sports, business development, multi-platform and/or other complex deals; and assist the sales production team with client shoots and integrations.

JOB DUTIES:

Work with all internal departments (Sales, Traffic, Marketing, Management, etc.) on the development and implementation of client campaigns. Ensure sponsorship elements are communicated, timelines are met, and deliverables are acquired from our advertising partners.

Manage the day-to-day fulfillment and optimization of major accounts. Includes monitoring performance, generating recaps, and compiling post-run presentations

Communicate campaign needs with AE to enable asset delivery from client to ensure on-time delivery of production elements

Create client facing slide decks for cross-platform sales opportunities and initiatives, and end of campaign recaps.

Execute digital sweepstakes, social amplification campaigns and other custom content

Work closely with the sales production team on client commercial shoots and integrations

Script write client integrations and commercial spots collaboratively with clients

Organize, schedule, book, and communicate details for commercial production shoots

Work with content teams to stay up to date on their initiatives and make sales recommendations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Strong computer skills especially in Power Point, Excel, and Word

Demonstrated project management skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice

High energy and teamwork mentality a must

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

Sales Media Industry experience

Minimum one (1) year of experience at a media company in media sales or experience in a client service role

Knowledge of Wide Orbit and Sales Force

Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with broad range of internal and external clients

A strong ability to perform independently and proactively while working in a team environment.

Media production experience a plus – lighting, mics, scripting

Experience with contesting or paid social a plus

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Must be willing to work in Chicago, IL

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
