The Regional Vice President (RVP) of Operations oversees and manages Home Health operations of an assigned region for the company. This includes direct management of Area Vice Presidents and their operations within an identified geography. Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place to meet financial and operational objectives and drive operational excellence. This includes managing budgets, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, implementing strategies to optimize operations, and leading a team of managers and staff to achieve operational goals. The RVP of Operations works closely with senior leadership to align operational activities with overall business strategies and objectives.Responsibilities
Works with AVP of Operations and Finance to plan, and execute the company's budgeted revenue goals
Collaborates with other business functions such as Sales, Clinical Operations, HR and Finance to ensure business and financial goals are achievedWorks closely with clinical leadership to ensure operational standards of excellence including quality outcomes.Monitors changing business needs and implements actions to resolve and address those identified needsLeverages technology and tools to identify operations that are not performing to standard and develops and implements plans of corrective actionEnsures that employees in the area understand and adhere to compliance, regulatory and Company processes, procedures, and regulationsDevelops positive relationships and trusting relationships with clinical leaders, healthcare executives, community partners and funders at state and national levelsCoaches the AVP of Operations in budget/financial goals for the operating areaConsults with the AVP of Operations in determining operational risk factors and contribute to the creation of relevant mitigation plansParticipates and contributes to the annual budgeting process for the HH Division for the respective area of responsibility.Holds leaders (operations) and teams accountable for the achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual budgets and business / clinical quality goalsProvides leadership, mentoring, coaching and development to direct reportsResponsible for reporting on plans and achievement of business, admission and clinical / quality goals to division President and Company CEOResponsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of direct reportsMonitors turnover in the area of responsibility. Ensures proper hiring, training, and development of newly hired staff. Works closely with support departments to achieveRoutine collaboration with payer contracting to negotiate the strongest contractsMonitor metrics proactively to effect change in a positive direction before month endCollaborate with business partners and use appropriate resources to accurately forecast monthly admissions/growthAssigned territory and area of operation can change based on business needQualifications
Degree in health administration or related fieldTen or more years experience with significant P&L responsibility; Multi-site management experience in a home health, hospice or related health programLicensed as a Registered Nurse or other clinical license preferredKnowledge of regulations and reimbursements in home health careFinancial operations knowledgeResults oriented abilityTravel 25% to 75%
