What you’ll be doing...As a Senior Product Manager you will be responsible for delivering 5G products for business customers. You will be responsible for defining the strategy, requirements and commercial model of 5G products and working alongside a team of talented product managers to implement that strategy. You will be defining product requirements and how our networking ecosystem comes together to deliver these experiences over 5G. You will be responsible for liaising with sister teams to establish strategies for delivering core 5G products to different segments including the specific requirements for Enterprise, Government and SMB customers. This role requires a strong leader, innovative thinker and execution mindset to drive our wireless products into the future.
Develop, evolve and implement 5G product strategy for B2B.
Work in collaboration with LOB/Sales on identifying other 5G opportunities and vertical markets that translate into revenue generating products for VBG and Verizon.
Own the business execution plan for assigned products and solutions, collaborating with business unit marketing and other teams for delivery of associated revenue and profitability goals.
Own and drive product vision for 5G in VBG.
Clearly communicate both up and down the leadership chain as it relates to product strategy, timelines, delivery schedules, risks and mitigation plans.
Drive product timelines.
Build cross functional teams and consensus to drive product timelines with various stakeholders (GNT, GTS, Finance, Legal, etc.).
Responsible for delivery plans for all products/projects you own.
What we’re looking for...You are a leader who can operate in a dynamic environment. You are detail oriented with a focus on requirements that deliver superior products to market on time and on budget.
You’ll need to have:
Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 1-2025.
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Two or more years of relevant work experience with wireless network architectures.
Managed products from ideation through development to launch.
Demonstrated knowledge of the wireless domain (5G Standalone and Network Slicing) either in a product or engineering capacity.
Experience with launching products in an agile environment.
Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or similar product/project and documentation management tools.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or an equivalent field.
Master’s degree in Business, Engineering or an equivalent field.
Experience working with business customers.
Excellent communication and advanced presentation skills including demonstrated experience with executive level customer presentations.
Proven ability to develop and implement interdepartmental processes and procedures designed to support common network, product and sales goals.
Strong design skills and problem solving capabilities.
Strong project management skills to execute on roadmap, moving a project from inception to completion..
Ability to facilitate collaborative resolution of differences with a “win-win” approach.
Broad knowledge, curiosity, and a considered point of view on how customers can benefit from 4G/5G technology including network evolution in the Enterprise and SMB spaces.
Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities.
Four or more years of product management experience.
Four or more years of telecommunications experience including 3GPP/4G LTE proficiency.
Direct experience with business customers, Enterprise, Government and SMB, around wireless, mobility, and networking products.
Basic understanding of 5G evolution and 5G NR technology as specified in 3GPP, GSMA standards.
A full understanding of the impacts of any new feature on the existing operation and performance of the network.
