Your responsibilities Job Summary The Senior Accountant will work in tkMNA Corporate's Finance and Accounting function as a member of the corporate accounting, reporting, and internal controls teams and will report to the Accounting Manager. This position will participate in tasks associated with periodic financial reporting including consolidations, month end general ledger maintenance, documentation of processes and controls, and perform tests of controls at the various company locations throughout North America. As a global organization, this position provides exposure to all levels of management, working collaboratively with business units and corporate team members. Job Compensation Key Accountabilities: Perform multiple tasks related to monthly closing and reporting, such as review of reporting packages, performing tasks in the reporting systems. Preparation of consolidated financial statements for internal needs Participates in organization internal control projects which may include review and testing of internal controls in financial, operational, compliance, or information technology areas. Conduct interviews and inquiries of business process owners to document business processes through narratives and flowcharts. Coordinates and perform tasks required to complete internal and external audits and to comply with identified remediation measures. Generally, to work on matters delegated or assigned from time to time based on future business needs. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Experience: Worked in public accounting in audit and controls related areas, and / or experience in large accounting departments in periodic closing along with internal and external reporting. A minimum of 3-4 years relevant experience in corporate accounting, internal audit, external audit, corporate accounting Strong Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task Strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of Accounting Applications, preferably SAP Strong MS Office skills.
