This is a 4-month contract that is TEMP TO HIRE for successful contractors!Job Title: Transportation CoordinatorPay: $29.00 - 31.00/hour (based upon experience)Duration: 4-months - CONTRACT TO HIRESchedule: 40hrs/week // 4 x 10Location: HYBRID (3 days onsite; 1 day remote) in Tempe, AZShift Available: Sunday - WednesdayOVERNIGHT 4:00pm - 2:30amOur client's Supply Chain Innovation Warehousing and Distribution team is looking for an experienced Transportation Coordinator with a strong record of achieving results, to own and drive accurate load scheduling for a quickly growing business segment. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about building new businesses, solving complex problems for our customers, and establishing end-to-end transportation scheduling processes. This team's transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver worldwide shipments from our distribution centers.RESPONSIBILITIES :Manage inbound transportation disruptions for shipping products, including backlogged freight and shipment delays.Proactively resolve shipping issues with third-party logistics providers (3PL) by identifying the root cause and taking corrective action.Communicate analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writingCreate and maintain tools and reports that support both Senior leadership as well as Operators at the site levelManage multiple ongoing priorities and closely adhere to internal team and stakeholder SLAsDesign new metrics and enhance existing metrics to support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability and scalabilityEnable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources in order to provide visibility to pending changesDrive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce waste sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable formatMaintain/update documentation for internal training and referenceCommunicate analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writingQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum High School Diploma, bachelor's degree preferred for full-time conversion2+ years of experience in a related industry, including logistics, transportation coordination, project management, or customer service.Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and analyzing data) and Microsoft OfficePrevious experience in data analytics and responding to support ticketsAble to work with multiple systems and screens (multiple tabs + systems at once)**This role may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays**Russell Tobin is a leading minority-owned professional and technical recruitment and staffing advisory organization.
