System One is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager for a direct hire position in Pittsburgh, PA. This position offers competitive salary and benefits and is an excellent opportunity with a successful construction company.
Qualified candidates will have a
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in Project Management with commercial and/or industrial and/or institutional construction projects, preferably in the $25 million+ range. Experience with CPM scheduling, preferably P6, BIM, and contract and document management software. Experienced with Sustainable Construction methodology with LEED credentials. Union and non union experience is a strong plus.
Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:
Assist estimating/purchasing department buying subcontract and material vendors
Establish and foster professional result producing relationships with project engineering and jobsite supervision
Coordinate the materials submittal and shop drawing process
Develop and implement the project schedule
Stay current and trained for technology innovations in project management
Make pay application to Owner
Approve subcontractor payments
Represent company at meetings
Produce monthly progress status reports
Initiate recovery for extra work
Negotiate Owner/Contractor change orders
Negotiate Contractor/Subcontractor change orders
Manage the Viewpoint job cost report
Inspect the work
Communications with Owner and Architect
Expedite the punchlist
Coordinate project close-out
Establish and coordinate means and methods
Secure approvals and inspections for occupancy
Coordinate the protection of persons and property
Provide cost history information to estimating department
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience in commercial / industrial / institutional construction
Proficient in CPM scheduling, preferably P6, BIM, and contract and document management software
Experienced with Sustainable Construction methodology with LEED credentials
Strong business expertise in project planning and management
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
