Ability to cross-train or shadow with other departments within our firmProfessional Development and MentorshipCollaboration on high-profile real-life projects in your communityScholarship and networking opportunitiesResponsibilities
Responsibilities in our Investigative GroupAssist Senior Staff in performing a wide range of forensic investigations related to damage and deterioration structures and physical condition assessment studiesAssist Senior Staff in developing designs to repair or restore existing wood, masonry, concrete and steel structuresWriting technical reportsWill utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit to produce digital drawings and models
Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering school; other degrees will be considered based on relevant experienceAutoCAD and/or Revit experience is a plusCertification - Highly preferred - Engineering intern (passed NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering {FE} exam)Reliable transportation to and from office locationStrong work ethic, willingness to learn and try new thingsPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbsAbility/willingness to climb ladders and scaffolding, work from heights, walk roofs, access crawl spaces and other areas of limited accessibilityAmerican Structurepoint is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.
