Position Description The Anoka County Human Resources Department has an immediate opening for a HRMS Specialist who will perform various duties. Some of the critical responsibilities of this position include performing routine administrative and first-line data support to maintain the timeliness and accuracy of all county employee data in the HRMS. This is a full-time, non-exempt, on-siteposition. Interviews will take place the week of September 9, 2024, for those selected to move forward in the hiring process. Pay & Benefits Salary: $54,017 to $63,460 ($25.97 to $30.51 per hour). 2024 Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 30. $54,017 to $72,904 ($25.97 to $35.05 per hour). 24 days of paid flexible time off and up to 12.5 paid holidays. Advancement/professional development opportunities. Work Location This position will work at Anoka County Government Center, located at 2100 3rd Ave, Anoka, MN 55303. Expected work hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Job Duties and Responsibilities These examples are not all inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of primary responsibilities of an Anoka County HRMS Specialist. Perform front desk reception tasks for the Human Resources Department. Perform routine administrative and first line data support to maintain the timeliness and accuracy of all county employee data in the HRMS. Provide direct support during payroll processing to ensure accuracy of data, troubleshoot issues with employee and/or timesheet entries, and triage issues to appropriate subject matter expert for resolution. Research and document issues, propose sustainable business/technical solutions and have a solid understanding of the software being used. Perform reporting requests for departments and projects, day-to-day business operations, and state and federally required reporting. Input data used for compensation, payroll, and benefits, and verify the accuracy of data through audits and query generation. Process human resources change requests, such as new hire entry, terminations, salary changes, and update data as necessary. Perform routine report generation, maintenance, and distribution for Human Resources and managing personnel. Participate in problem solving teams to address issues and develop governance to handle data efficiently and in compliance with ethical and legal standards. Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed Requires a high school diploma and at least 2 years of job-related experience In lieu of the required education, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed Knowledge and understanding of secure and private data handling Experience in database management Problem solving skills with ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Abi ity to work independently Physical Demands and Work Conditions Standard office environment Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades, and brightness Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds Assignments are sedentary, occasionally alternating between sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities. Frequent wrist and finger manipulation to complete computer work Occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs. Equipment used includes computers, phones, and standard office equipment Occasional travel to other county work sites as needed.
