Available Title(s): 105G-YN CS NPS - Administrative Assistant 3 Business Title: Administrative Assistant Employee Type: Classified Position Details: Summary of Duties: The Administrative Support Assistant for Information Technology Services provides day-to-day coordination of administrative & inventory operations for personnel activities for ITS. This position is responsible for the physical inventory records of each employee, to include computer equipment, keys and furniture. This position is also responsible for carrying out a full range of confidential administrative and clerical assignments including coordinating personnel documentation including recruitment packets, performance plans, staff change documentation, onboarding/offboarding logistics and coordinating Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) documentation for the Administrative Manager. Other administrative work may be assigned as needed. Work and information handled is of a nature requiring confidentiality and the exercise of discretion. Required Qualifications: • High School graduation or equivalent AND three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work; OR equivalent education/experience. • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. • Excellent written communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment, tact and diplomacy. Preferred Qualifications: • Professional experience working in higher education. • Experience writing policy and procedure documentation. • Experience in tracking property assets, or equivalent. • Experience with WSU policies and procedures. • Experience in personnel management procedures and evaluations. • Excellent verbal communications skills. • Demonstrated administrative experience relating to personnel and recruitment processes. • Excellent written communication skills, including professional experience in preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations.
