This leadership role will focus on enhancing market position through product innovation and management of the product lifecycle, from concept to market introduction.You WillLead Medicare strategy evaluation, development, and initial product management, create business cases for new product strategiesResearch and develop new product strategies from ideation to go-to-marketResponsible for developing new products that compliment and expand beyond the team's current product line.Includes leading product development and product management activities including defining, developing and implementing the strategic product direction and promotion for both existing and next generation product offerings. This is accomplished through setting long-term product strategy and roadmap, conducting market research, competitive analysis, developing product plans and pricing, monitoring results, and taking corrective actions.Direct and hands-on involvement with driving current product solutions may be needed. Creating and driving offerings that meet the needs of all Medicare beneficiaries including curation of supplemental benefits while ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations.Work extensively with cross functional partners to understand impacted areas and lead product concept development to pilot validation and subsequent integration through market enablement.Develop a holistic, multiyear product and supplemental benefit strategy that translates into a portfolio of nationally supported Medicare products and benefits that markets can choose from and that will be supported end-to-end by national product development.Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, market needs, and market innovations and to create a competitive and differentiated value proposition for growth.Collects and analyzes information that evaluates the organization's performance, strengths and weaknesses, and competitive landscape in order to identify new growth opportunities.Estimates business impact of strategic initiatives and prepares reports and recommendations for executive leadership teams. Proposes plans for leveraging organizational resources in order to capitalize on growth opportunities and tracks performance.Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management.Establishes departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination. Supervision is often provided through a team of subordinate managers.Motivates and empowers teams
Your QualificationsBachelor's degree in business administration, health care management or related field.6 years of experience in product development and strategic planning within the healthcare or Medicare sector, with leadership responsibilities.5 years of leadership experienceStrong project management skills,Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilitiesFinancial acumen and proficiencyInnovative mindset, leadership and team performance
