The Associate Broker actively operates within a team environment and supports broker(s) with their growing book of business. Continually seeks ways to improve knowledge and expertise. Completes duties in accordance with company standards. Treats clients, company personnel, and associates with respect and courtesy.
What You'll DoSupports and demonstrates IMA's core valuesValues and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates.Prepares initial market submissions and loss summariesIndependently interfaces with clients and carriers to solve problems and answer questionsDevelops and maintains proactive communication with clientsReviews and analyzes quotes, and negotiates the terms of the transactionPrepares draft proposals, submissions and quotesMonitors market changes and performs marketing activities as required by BrokerMaintains knowledge of insurance coverages, carriers and their business practices
You Should Have3-4+ years of similar or related experienceUndergraduate degree in risk management, insurance or finance or equivalent combination of education and experienceApplicable state P&C and Surplus license preferredHabitational experience (property/commercial real estate) is a plusStrong sales and marketing skillsExperience with MS Office, including strong proficiency with Excel
