Identify and engage with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, and quality) to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality. Responsible for developing & executing detailed commodity strategy. Conduct or support negotiations and supplier selection. Responsible for management of strategic supplier relationships through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process and accountable for monitoring supplier risk across all responsible categories. Support region/sector NPD Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs and strategy development.Responsibilities:Lead commodity stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive commodity (Capital & Tooling) strategies that exceed both short term and long term objectivesAccountable for execution of sourcing projects including RFx, continuous improvement, consolidation, etc.Responsible for defining negotiations strategy including supplier profiles, commercial negotiations targets, defining switching costs, and building Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Develop and Implement standard Capital and Tooling processes driving utilization of BOS standard workAlign with SBU stakeholders to incorporate commodity (Capital & Tooling) strategies into NPD process while gaining leadership supportIdentify and Partner with AME, Engineering & Procurement stakeholders to ensure delivery of Capital and Tooling programs including support of annual AOP processAccountable for commercial negotiations and supplier selections within commoditiesResponsible for management of strategic suppliers through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovationEngage with NPD Procurement teams to support new product development (NPD) and new technology introduction (NTI), through preferred supplier and SRM programsAccountable for monitoring supplier risk across all responsible commodities (Capital & Tooling) while developing and maintaining detailed mitigation plans for critical tools and at-risk suppliersPresent comprehensive commodity (Capital & Tooling) strategies during Commodity Reviews (QCR)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field5 to 10 years experience Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations,3+ years experience in tooling management preferable with an equipment provider in the industrial mfg segmentDemonstrated competence in assessment, negotiation and selection of suppliersCandidate must have demonstrated experience coordinating, facilitating discussions, consultation and conflict resolution skillsProfessional communication; both verbal and written are required.Ability to travel up to 25%
