$22-$30/hr

for the right candidate at a salary of

60K-80K depending on experience!Some of the employee reviews, include things like:"My supervisors helped me with networking and career advancement.""Fun and friendly community of co-workers; organization's mission is important; office location in close proximity to public transit."Overview of the Junior Accountant role:Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts monthly (including accounts payable, prepaids and other liability accounts) for monthly closing process.Transaction processing including invoices, cash receipts, credit cards, and collections.Maintains financial records for subsidiary companies by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close.Process expense reimbursements, international wires, and student award payments.Communicate with departments and vendors to resolve issues/discrepancies relating to invoices and payments.Prepare and enter journal entries for prepaids and month end invoice accruals.Maintain Vendor and Journal Entry files.Assist with financial audit as needed.Preferred Qualifications for the Junior Accountant:Bachelor's degree in Accounting1-3 years of accounting experienceAdvanced excel skills is preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with a non-profit is preferred
