The HR Generalist is responsible for providing a wide range of HR support to employees and managers. This includes tasks such as recruitment and hiring, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and training and development.

Primary Responsibilities:
1 to 2 years of experience in HR generalist or a related field.
Strong understanding of HR best practices and principles.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with insurance related claims regarding packout, contents and storage
Effective written and oral communication
Have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Ability to remain calm and professional during tense or stressful situations
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Capability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented office environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to successfully pass a background check
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
Ability to work with/around cleaning agents
Ability to wear a respirator for their safety due to potentially being exposed to fumes or airborne particles
Travel Requirements:
Travel will occasionally be required as the person in the role will need to travel to our other locations (Iowa City, Des Moines, Ottumwa/Pella) for On-boarding, trainings, etc.
