Provides strategic sourcing, supplier performance, supplier development and contract maintenance support for the Supply Management Team. Accountable for supporting and optimizing cost and risk impacts related to high volumes of supplier engagements within the category of direct procurement.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSConducts strategic sourcing for items or commodities that are low to moderate in nature and low to moderate risk to the company.

Independently deals with low to moderate issues, engineering change notices (ECNs) and pricing concerns, involving Work Team Leader for moderate to high-risk issues.

Provides daily Procure-to-Pay (P2P) support (supplier set up/vetting, requisition/purchase order processing, pricing maintenance, invoice fallouts, reconciliation, process improvements), as required to meet business objectives.

Provides support for Supplier Development Managers, including but not limited to supplier research, developing Request for Proposal/Information/Quotes (Rfx) information, detailed analysis/data mining of information, and spend analysis.

Responsible for daily activities that occur related to supplier performance (cost, deliverables,etc). Develops and maintains metrics pertaining to supplier qualification and performance for select suppliers.

Maintains and monitors information in the contracts database, including reviewing expiring contracts/renewals, entering new contracts and updating existing contract changes. Analyzes contracts for the purpose of identifying improvement and opportunities.

Provides support in requesting and maintaining documents related to the MillerKnoll Corporate Governance program.

Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Materials Management, Finance, Operations Management, or equivalent experience.1-3 years of relevant supplier development experience with exposure to a variety of commodities preferred.Skills and AbilitiesHighly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to resolve routine and complex inquires with highest level of customer service.

Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software and tools currently used in the MillerKnoll office environment. This includes advanced technical Excel skills, use of eSourcing, Spend Analytics, and other supply chain technologies.

Disciplined, analytical, organized, and detail oriented.

Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks with little direct supervision.

Ability to take direction from multiple individuals and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to work and act as a team player.

Demonstrated successful use of negotiation and influencing skills.

Demonstrated successful problem-solving skills, including the ability to do non-complex cost analysis.

Basic understanding of prepared financial statements; ability to interpret and assign meaning to income statements, cash flow statements and balance sheets.

Understanding of and ability to apply formal project management principles when necessary. Ability to set and meet own milestones and expectations.

Ability and willingness to travel locally up to 5%.
